you're very kind, thank you so much! i sincerely appreciate it. slowly learning my way around. i think i need to get involved with more groups/forums though so more people can see my work. any suggestions? i see someone has also been so kind/generous to have given me a "Core" membership! i should probably read up about what that entails before it runs out so i can try to take advantage of any extra elements from DeviantArt! this site is wonderful! cheers!

My pleasure :) Yes, Groups and the Forum are the best way to get your art out there. There are so many people submitting their work here, it takes some effort to get noticed. Arts and crafts is a bit of a niche here, it might be helpful to join some groups that focus specifically on that (it could also be good to submit your work to that category instead of the photography category, so it's easier for people to find it ^^).

Good luck, and have fun!
thanks kindly! i don't really consider myself much of a photographer, although I try to get a "good shot" of each of my pieces of work of course to show them off in the best way possible. i think my work would specifically appeal to more of the musician groups, Luthiers, guitarists and bass players, etc. Mainly, what I do is sculpt custom metal "armour" to protect, create a unique beauty for the client's guitar or bass and add resonant mass to the musical instrument. I myself am also a musician so a place to show off some of my own musical creations would be stellar if possible here. I know deviantart is more of a photography site, but it came highly recommended through a few friends of mine (SkiyeCam aka Skiye Sounds) as an additional social catalyst for the world to see these hand sculpted metal creations I make for people's musical instruments. As he described them - "they are works of exquisite art that are applied to instruments and mediums for creating more art with".
Thanks kindly for taking the time to respond and help a fellow out! Not entirely savvy when it comes to the computer stuff - SkiyeCam is actually been a great deal of help, here on DeviantArt as well as all over the social web actually. Any advice, guidance, assistance, etc is more than appreciated!
Cheers! ~James Dread
